Taylor Coil Joins New Haircut as Product Strategist

The New Haircut team is thrilled to welcome Taylor Coil as Product Strategist, supporting the company’s growing clientele of Product teams operating within Fortune 500 companies. With over a decade of experience bringing new products to market, Taylor champions collaborative discovery as a way to help clients grow their businesses through innovation.

Most recently, Taylor served as Director of Product at Animalz, leading teams to develop and refine content experiments for the biggest brands in tech. She also served as the Director of Marketing at Tortuga, wherein she helped develop and launch Wirecutter’s top-recommended carry-on travel backpack. In past roles at Written Word Media, Agile Marketing Group, and Lulu.com, she helped early-stage startups bring new ideas to market and helped established companies scale. Taylor’s unique background in both marketing and product inspires her to approach challenges with empathy for the customer and a keen awareness of business metrics.

“Taylor has been a long-time supporter of the New Haircut brand and, likewise, I’ve always admired her balanced approach to product strategy,” shared Jay Melone, Founder and Product Strategist at New Haircut. “We have some exciting things in store for New Haircut in the upcoming months and I’m confident Taylor will be invaluable to our clients by helping them solve wicked problems within their markets.”

Within her new role at New Haircut, Taylor will initially support New Haircut’s growing market demand by partnering with our clients to help them bring innovative, customer-centered product offerings to market. Taylor will also collaborate with Jay to iterate New Haircut’s core discovery and product sprint services - with the goal of delivering even more value to more Product teams. Taylor will also be key to an exciting new venture within New Haircut that provides access to powerful innovation tools we’re developing.

When she’s not giving clients and their processes a New Haircut-style trim, Taylor likes to practice trapeze on her backyard aerial rig and hike with her dog, Pickle, in the woods next to her house.
